ANNOUNCEMENTS

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20^TH, 2024

Griggsville-Perry will be performing state required screenings for hearing tomorrow, November 21, 2024 for elementary and required high school students. If you student wears glasses or contacts please ensure they, wear them as those students will not be required a full screening. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these screenings, please contact the school nurse. 

Mrs. Scranton is needing volunteers for the mental health night this Saturday from 330-530. You will receive volunteer hours as well as activity points in her class. Please sign up in her room. 

The FFA Dairy Foods/Food Science competition is December 5th. Please sign up by Friday the 22 with Mrs. Scranton. You must be eligible the week of competition. Practice times will be released after the sign up closes. 

Griggsville-Perry Class of 2025 is now selling Butter Braids and Pastry Puffins! These funds will be used to help with senior trip. Contact a senior to order! Lost and Found Table is overflowing with jackets, sweatshirts, etc. Please check the table to see if you have any clothing on it today!

Reminder: Lady Tornado Volleyball Banquet is this Friday, November 22^nd at 6pm in the cafeteria. Bring a covered dish, your own place setting, and drink.

Griggsville Perry's first ever Family Wellness Fair will be held Saturday, Nov 23rd from 3:30-5:30 at the Griggsville building.  Come and join in all varieties of wellness activities like coloring, yoga, relaxing music, painting, pictures with Norwich, and more.  There will be 12 stations, snacks, and raffle prizes.  Mark your calendars and please join us for a relaxing Saturday afternoon.  

PACE will be hosting a Lighted Christmas Parade on December 13th at 6pm. PACE is looking for people and business that would like to participate in the parade. Any vehicles welcome - cars, farm equipment, semis, golf carts, side by sides, etc. Please contact Nikki Mountain at (217) 617-6138 for more information and to register! Hope to see you all there!

Sports:

Tornado Warning! It’s happening soon! Tornado Maroon/White Scrimmage will be on Saturday, November 23^rd at 2:00 P.M. Entry Fee is 1 water or Sports drink. Alicia Evans is ticket taker and Lady Tornado Softball is doing concessions. Any softball player who can help with concessions on Saturday please let Mrs. VanWinkle know soon.

JV Tornadoes will be playing ion the Beardstown Tiger Classic Tournament.

Monday, November 25:

GPJV will play Augusta Southeastern at 8:00pm. Bus time is 6:15.

Tuesday, November 26:

GPJV will play Beardstown at 8:00pm. Bus time is 6:15.

Wednesday, November 27:

GPJV will play Brown County at 6:30pm. Bus time is 4:45

Saturday, November 30:

Tornado Basketball will play at Pawnee at 2:00pm. Bus time is 11:50am.
